The German Frauen-Bundesliga champions VfL Wolfsburg will have to play without their Polish striker Ewa Pajor until the end of the year. The club have announced on their website that Pajor will be out for at least three months due to a left knee injury.
The 23-year-old underwent a knee surgery during Thursday and it seems that the Polish national team player will not be able to start training again until three months at the earliest. The club also said in the statement that they cannot rule out that Pajor will be absent even longer than that, but a follow-up examination in a few weeks will bring more clarity.

The last game for Pajor this year then was the UEFA Champions League final against Olympique Lyonnais in the end of August, a match in which she was substituted in the 61st minute.
This means that Pajor also will miss important Euro Qualifier games with Poland this fall against Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Spain. After 3 matches Poland is on first place in Group D on even points as Spain and one point ahead of third-placed Czech Republic.
