After many days of uncertainty, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has finally set a date for the Primera Iberdrola to start. The competition will begin on October 18, unless (also after ratification of the protocol) all clubs unanimously agree to start earlier, but no earlier than October 4.

With the question of the start of the season resolved, there are still other doubts in the air, as for example what kind of format the competition will have, something which yet has not been fully defined. The proposal from RFEF has been to divide the league into two groups, a suggestion which previously hasn’t been that well received, where the clubs and players are rather playing weekdays to compress the calendar, than to be divided into two groups.
We still have to see what decision that will be, but at least there is a start date to look forward to.
