Home UEFA ITALY Historic Serie A game at San Siro

Historic Serie A game at San Siro

For the first time a game of women’s football is going to be played at San Siro. AC Milan will take on Juventus on the 5th October, in the Serie A Femminile, for this historic fixture.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis it’s still unsure if there will be any fans in the stadium, but nevertheless it’s another important step for women’s football in Italy.

During the 2018/2019 season the match between Juventus and Fiorentina was played at the Allianz Stadium in front of about 40 thousand spectators, a stadium where also the UEFA Women’s Champions League final will be played in 2022.

This new season will see San Siro for one night switch from the players of Zlatan Ibrahimović and his teammates to those of Giacinti, Bergamaschi, Gama and Girelli, just to give a few examples.
