Painful news for Giulia Gwinn, Germany women’s national team and FC Bayern Munich.
During the European Championship qualifier match against Ireland on Saturday, a match Germany won with 3-0, the midfielder suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and other ligament injuries in her right knee. This was shown by further investigations on Monday in Munich. Previously, on Saturday evening, the medical team of the German football association found an external ligament and capsule injury in an initial diagnosis.
